Mike Claney - Founding Partner

Mike has 25 years experience in resort property management, specializing in owner associations and rental program management. During this time, Mike has held positions with Hilton Hotels and AIRCOA (now Richfield), as director of Sales and Marketing for properties in Vermont and California. Mike also started Colorado Rocky Mountain Holidays, which he later sold. Colorado Rocky Mountain Holidays managed nine condominium and lodging properties and several owner associations in Crested Butte Colorado. In 1990 Mike joined Sage Hospitality and took the position as General Manager of the Inn at SilverCreek, a 342 room condominium hotel. In 1997, Mike formed Resort Management Group, and has steadily guided RMG’s growth and success since. He continually demonstrates success through increased revenues and decreased expenses, while improving service levels for owners and guest. Accomplishments in SilverCreek include: occupancy increases of over 250%,average daily rate increases of 72%, owner rental income increases of 104%, increase of dues collection rates from 38% to over 97%, cut bad debt by 85%, the planning and implementation of over $5,000,000 in common area capital projects, the planning and remodeling of over 450 units, and during this time limiting dues increases to under 3.4% annually. Mike takes the leadership role in managing the relationship with RMG’s six thousand plus owners and ownership associations.
