Rick Jernigan - Managing Partner

Rick is a Cornell Hotel School Graduate with 28 years of hospitality experience. Rick started his career in management positions with Marriott and Hilton Hotels. Rick opened six new hotels in five years and later began to specialize in resort operations. Rick was a founding member-owner and managing partner of Remington Property Management and Real Estate Development Company in Crested Butte, CO. In this position he was responsible for managing the operations over 350 of Crested Butte’s finest condominiums, twelve homeowner associations and the operations and development of the Crested Butte Country Club, a mixed use equity membership and public play Trent Jones championship golf course featuring a 33,000 square foot clubhouse, indoor tennis and a full health club facility.

Prior to this, Rick was the Senior Vice President of Resort Operations for Crested Butte Mountain Resort. In this position Rick held direct responsibility for the property management division (condominium management), the hotel division (including the 262 room Grande Butte Marriott and the 250 room Sheraton Mountain Lair), and all other ski area revenue operations, including food and beverage, ski rentals, retail, ski school, and ticket sales. Rick also holds the titl e of Senior Vice President Special Projects with Hospitality Valuation Services International (HVS) Canada and has completed a wide variety of consulting projects for that office. In this capacity Rick’s client list has included Intrawest Resorts, Marriott, Westin, Fairmont and Delta Hotels.
